PROGRESS REPORT

The winter was spent consolidating our corporate structure. With pro-bono legal help we are now incorporated as a non-profit corporation in NY State.We have filed an application for our IRS 501-(c)3 status; developed the Membership and Volunteering Agreements and created our Volunteer Handbook. WORKING WITH A PRO

Nicole Adams grew up in Fort Greene and has made a career in the non-profit area.She has a history in fund development for organizations such as Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Millennium Promise and Covenant House. Nicole has led a team responsible for the launch of New York City’s Public Hospitals and Wholesome Wave’s partnership on a Fruit & Vegetable prescription program.For a complete Bio go to GoodNeighborsProject.org.



VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We are beginning to need people to do some office work or web research that can be done at home.Take a shift at the Farmer's Market on Saturdays 8:30AM to 3PM, Fort Greene Park corner of DeKalb and Cumberland.

Last summer and fall, 343 of you have given us your names and email addresses. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm for the idea of The Good Neighbors Project. Now we need to know more about you. Go to GoodNeighborsProject.org and click the JOIN US tab. Click on Volunteering to find the Application and the Volunteer Manual. The application should be downloaded and filled out.It can be dropped off at 287 Adelphi St (under the stoop) or mailed or emailed to info@goodneighborsproject.org

COMPUTER HOUSE CALLS

Requests are starting to come in from members for computer help, training and/or diagnostics. We are looking for Volunteers with expertise in IT and related high tech knowledge. We are talking to Tekserve about providing expertise at reduced prices.
