The winter was spent consolidating our corporate structure. With pro-bono legal help we are now incorporated as a non-profit corporation in NY State.We have filed an application for our IRS 501-(c)3 status; developed the Membership and Volunteering Agreements and created our Volunteer Handbook. Nicole Adams grew up in Fort Greene and has made a career in the non-profit area.She has a history in fund development for organizations such as Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Millennium Promise and Covenant House. Nicole has led a team responsible for the launch of New York City’s Public Hospitals and Wholesome Wave’s partnership on a Fruit & Vegetable prescription program.For a complete Bio go to


We are beginning to need people to do some office work or web research that can be done at home.Take a shift at the Farmer's Market on Saturdays 8:30AM to 3PM, Fort Greene Park corner of DeKalb and Cumberland.

Looking for your special skills

Requests are starting to come in from members for computer help, training and/or diagnostics. We are looking for Volunteers with expertise in IT and related high tech knowledge. We are talking to Tekserve about providing expertise at reduced prices.
