I want to stay here!
Let Good Neighbors be the resource that helps keep us all here.
"I love having a support group and meeting new friends and neighbors just like me."
— Pat DuBose
We seniors are often encouraged to leave our homes and move into retirement communities. Why move from the place you love? Our neighborhood can become a ‘retirement community’ for us. What kind of support do we need to stay in our homes? We can do it for ourselves! And affordably! Collectively we will marshal the available resources, manage them to all our advantage, and maximize them by our numbers and energy? Good Neighbors will help you enjoy life and take care of yourself.
Become a member, volunteer or vendor today!
Good Neighbors welcomes all of our friends and neighbors! Use the "Join Us" tab above to learn how you can become part of our new organization. We are looking for volunteers, vendors and of course new members! If you cannot participate but would like to donate to our efforts, please contact us and we'll explain how to. We appreciate everyone's support.
We will be at the Fort Greene Park Greenmarket every Saturday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Stop by our table and ask questions, complete a volunteer or membership application or just help us spread the word. For more information on the Fort Greene Park Greenmarket time and location, click here
. See you there!
Good Neighbors is a cooperative neighborhood project, designed to allow older residents of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill in Brooklyn and adjacent neighborhoods both the practical means and the confidence to enjoy life to the fullest living in their own homes, in the diverse urban, multi-generational environment they value.
